As you know, I’m working on my 3rd Bead Tutorial and I need your help! My tutorials are about helping you become the very best glass artist you can be. To do that, I have to give you exactly what you want and need. So, I thought what better way to find out than to ASK?
How can I make my 3rd lampworking tutorial really Special for you?
So, as I write my 3rd tutorial, I’ll be asking you questions about being a glass artist & jewelry maker, seeking your suggestions, and finding out what things you really want to know. If you respond, I know we can make this tutorial filled with the perfect information that is exactly what you need!
What’s my 3rd lampworking bead tutorial About?
This tutorial teaches sculptural flowers. Yes, totally sculptural! It will also cover Secondary Color schemes, Complementary, Split Complementary color schemes, and how to use them to personalize your color designs. I will be covering Thompson enamels also, and how I use enamels in my flowers. Finally, there will be a section of inspirational ideas & exercises to help you push your creativity to new frontiers.
Here’s Where I Need Your Help
Core Question: What are your greatest blocks or problems when you create your beads?
Some things to ponder to help you dig deeper:
- Do you have trouble creating your own unique beads by combining lampworking techniques with your ideas?
- Are you uncomfortable using color? What do you need to learn to feel comfortable?
- Are you understanding and using the Art Theory & exercises I am sharing? Do I need to go more in depth?
- What do you think is stopping you from creating more spectacular beads?
What is one thing that you wish I would share with you?
I will be asking questions on my FB page, too. You can answer me on my My FaceBook
or here on my blog post comments section.
Thank you for helping me create the perfect tutorial for you!
I’m really excited about co-creating this next tutorial with you!

Dear Patsy: Hi! It is jean. I LOVE your beads – but as a designer and an art appreciator, not as a fellow art glass bead maker. I don’t know what I can share, except a decade of study of quality lampwork beads. I was recently a judge for the special anniversary show held by the ISGB–I was blown away that they chose me for this juried show! Essentailly, as a designer, I can only look from the outside in…although I have read certain things in books about making lampwork beads.
I remember everything you said in my interview of you for Australian Beading magazine, however, and I know that you know just what to do.
It is a natural part of you and that is one of the reasons your beads are so extraordinary, expressive, and even moving.
Thank you Patsy, for the beauty you bring to us.
love, jean xox
